Product specification
The TAU® redirective crash cushion is made up by:
- support structures in hot dipped galvanised steel sections welded and equipped with:
- frame holders that slides over the pavement
- fairleads to support the cables
- bays to lodge the cartridges, the energy absorbing elements
- 2 front pickets inserted in the pavement to attach frontally the cables
- backup with an attachment plate to anchor the system to the pavement and with a fixing plate on it to attach cables in back position
- cables (ø 24 mm) in high resistant galvanised steel with threaded M39 lug equipped with a nut that guides metallic structures at the impact
- lateral 3-beam fender panels made in galvanised steel and attached to the support structures; they move telescopically under the action of sliders
- frontal fender panel made in a special plastic with signs in reflective film
- energy absorbing elements, cartridges, with a cylindrical shape and made in a special high resistant fabric supported by discs at the edges
- normalised bolts and screws made in stainless or hot dipped galvanised steel
