The 30th and 31st Snoline has organized a technical seminar on QMB Quickchange Movable Barrier and on road safety products.

Snoline’s major distributors in Europe took part to the event.

The illustration and the technical explanation of the equipment has given rise to the general interest, just for the innovation and functionality of the product. The visit to the work zone on the highway A4 Milan-Turin, where the machine is in function since several months, was decisive to understand its functioning and to appreciate its benefits and easiness of use.

A crucial point of the meeting concerned the possibility of the machine’s different applications.

Besides the permanent installations, which provide to a better management of the lanes number, varying them according to traffic flow, the machine can be used also in work zone in order to optimize the work area and to warrant the normal traffic flow.

An other experience of the past years was the installation on Pesio’s viaduct (A6), which allowed work zone and traffic management so as to warrant excellent safety levels and advantages on the works execution time. Thanks to QMB queues and traffic jams could be avoided during the peak hours, creating a higher number of lanes coming in and out from Milan in accordance with the critical hours. The work area and traffic space could be optimized with only two movable barrier transfers. Moreover the movable barrier constitutes a protection which increases the safety level for the work zone’s operators.

The installations of the QMB managed by Snoline are the first examples of European use of this innovative technology, coming directly from Australia and USA.
