Preferential lane separators, known as kerbs, shall be built using modular preformed polyurethane elements that slot into each other, applied along the line of the traffic, capable of allowing for curves with a continuous profile and without sudden breaks.
These elements shall be fixed to the ground however constructed by means of threaded bars to be anchored using chemical or mechanical fixing methods, in holes to be made in the ground.
Each element in the kerb may have through-holes or suitable seats for optional insertion of flexible circular markers, in addition to the lateral reflector inserts.
The height of these lane separators must comply with the provisions of the Highway Code and subsequent amendments and/or integrations. The colour shall be paste-dyed yellow, capable of guaranteeing permanence of the colour.
